The
biggest sensor update on the S6 is the fingerprint scanner, located inside the
home button. You simply have to rest your finger (or thumb) on the button for
the S6 to be able to read it. It can recognize up to four prints. You can use it to unlock apps
and services, or to log in to a website using your fingerprint.
The first time you
turn on your new S6 or S6 Edge, you're asked to register a fingerprint with the

Also when it is difficult to periodically pressing the wake/lock button to check the weather or glance over any notification, there is an easier method where you simply hover your hand over the device to wake the screen.

For the first time in the history of the smartphone, Galaxy S5 features the heart rate sensor, which enables users to monitor their physical information.
Users can check their heart rate through the S Health app. By following the instructions that the S Health provides, users simply need to gently press their finger against the heart rate sensor, which is located on the bottom of the camera on the back panel.

You have to download a app from the Google Play Store or Amazon Marketplace and calibrate the compass to use the compass feature. Some popular apps are Android Compass, Pinux compass and Super Compass.

To experience and use this feature open the phone app and then tap on the tab "keypad". Now enter the following code for the service menu: *#0*#. You will see the service menu with various tiles now.
